ANATSUI VISITS HIS ALMA MATER, KNUST, GHANA

El Anatsui this 19th day of October 2016 reroutes his steps homeward to KNUST, Kumasi, where some of the earlier blocks of his art practice were laid.

Organised by the College of Arts, this is his first official visit to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST) since he graduated in 1975. He made a call to the Vice Chancellor Prof. Kwasi Obiri-Danso and entertained a conversation with students and staff.

The Vice Chancellor honoured him with a plaque of the university in appreciation of his great work and for being a good ambassador of the university. Anatsui in turn encouraged the Faculty of Art to continue their work on further improving the faculty.
